Your certification does not expire. Participation in ReActivate is not mandatory, but is recommended as an easy way to refresh your fundamental safety knowledge and skills if you have not dived for some time.
In the water, your professional instructor will help you regain comfort and confidence in diving. You will practice some safety-related skills and then review specifically what you want to review.
